Dear Joe, Laverne and Jimmy,
Please accept my prayerful solidarity in spiritual communion on the death of Norma. We are all praying for her and you and your family. Your sister, sister-in-law and aunt is closer to you than you can imagine, now that she has passed from this world into the hands of Our Lord. In the words of the Liturgy: "In death, life does not end, but merely changes". The bonds of love with Norma continue ever stronger, a love in the Lord that death can't vanquish...ever!
This moment of sadness for you can also be one of the deepest gratitude to Our Lord for Norma's life and for having preserved her all these years, a great gift in this very short lifespan of ours.
Your pain of loss will give way to a calm, serene and joyful sense that Norma continues to walk with you in your ongoing pilgrimage in this life in a new and deeply spiritual way; and will intercede for you until you yourselves encounter her again in heaven, together with Mamie, Sam and Sy. May you experience serene consolation, knowing that Norma was called to the Lord in this season full of anticipating hope and joy!
