I was so sad to learn of Marlene's passing. My mother Alice was also a resident of Kane Hospital on 4B. Marlene and her friends, Jackie, Ruth and Mary took my mother under their wings and made the transition easier for us. I became especially close to Marlene and miss her. She is no longer in pain and suffering and when passing her room I say a prayer and ask that she watches over her friends.
