K. CHRISTOPHER CIMADOR
On Friday, July 7, 2017, Chris passed into the loving arms of Jesus surrounded by his family while being comforted by beautiful music, which was always a part of his life. He was an accomplished bass guitar player. Chris was the son of Patricia (Black) Cimador and the late Ilo Louis Cimador. Deeply loved by his family, he is survived by his devoted soulmate and wife of 37 years, Mary (Lynch) Cimador; his cherished sons, Jason (Sabrina) and Kevin (Sarah Filson); his adoring grandchildren, Cassidy, Jason, Jr. and Caleb Cimador. Also survived by his brother-in-law, Terry (Donna) Lynch; nephews, Robert M. (Sarah) Lynch and Michael (Dea) Lynch; aunt, Zena Connolly; cousins, Barbara Cimador and Leo Cimador; and many close friends. Chris was an amazing husband and father. He loved his family, his Rickenbacker guitars, progressive rock, good tequila, and the Pittsburgh Pirates. He was kind, smart and funny. Member of Bricklayers & Allied Craftworkers Local #9 Tilesetters Union for over 30 years. He worked hard for his family, and always supported his sons in their athletic and educational endeavors. The family wants to thank the Reiland family (Amel's Restaurant) for their support and the fundraiser, West Penn Hospital's incredibly kind nursing staff, and his compassionate hematologist, Dr. Salman Fazal. Chris fought a long and difficult battle against leukemia. He is now free of the pain and suffering of this horrible disease. Words are inadequate to describe the profound loss felt by everyone who knew and loved Chris. "Soon, oh soon the light, Pass within and soothe this endless night" (Jon Anders/Yes). Gone too soon, he will never be forgotten. He was so very proud of the fine men that his sons have become. Till we meet again - WE LOVE YOU DAD! An appropriate and worthy Celebration of Life for this incredible man is being planned for the future.
Friends and family will be received at the Frank F. DeBor Funeral Home on Monday, July 10, from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the Church of the Resurrection (Brookline).
