Walter C. Friedel

Age 74, of Marion Center, PA, formerly of Brookline, died on March 25, 2024.  Son of the late Florence (Wright) and Martin C. Friedel.  Beloved husband of Judith Friedel (Foster) for over 36 years; stepfather of Cynthia (William) Egan and Angela Foster; father of Cliff (Ursula) Friedel.  Walt is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, family and friends. 

Walt was an avid sportsman, loved the outdoors, fishing and hunting, and was a proud honorary veteran of the United States Marine Corps.  He formerly worked as the head baker at Luigi's Italian Restaurant in Clymer, PA.

A committal service with the presentation of military honors will be held on Friday, June 21, 2024, at 2:30 p.m., in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.  Please arrive at the cemetery at 2:15 p.m.

The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the American Stroke Association.
