Altman, Ronald David, of Green Tree, Pennsylvania, passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2026.
He was the beloved husband of Karen Caligiuri Altman for 51 years. He was the devoted father of Eric (Tia) Altman, Shaun (Elizabeth) Altman, Marc (Kim) Altman, and David (Renee) Altman. Ron was also the proud and loving grandpa of five grandchildren: Annalee, Blake, Ayla, Brayden, and Evelyn. He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Carol Altman, and nieces Janet Joan, and Katie Altman.
Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Ron honorably served for four years in the U.S. Navy from 1968 to 1972, and later dedicated 30 years of service as a U.S. postal carrier. He was an incredicle history buff, an avid reader, a lover of music, and took gret pride in his yard work. Above all, he was a die hard fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
He will be sorely mssed by all of his family and friends.
Family and friends will be received at the Frank F. DeBor Funeral Home, 1065, Brookline Boulevard, 412-561-0380, on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., and Wednesday, July 15, 2026, 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. A Blessing Service will be held Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at 2:30 p.m.
