ROBERT A. CHALMERS
Of Baldwin Borough, on Tuesday, April 27, 2021. Everyone's Pappy, Robert served in the U.S. Army as an MP. He also was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He received a Vietnam Service Medal and also a National Defense Service Medal. He was the heart of our family. You were everything to me - my best friend, our hero, and my husband of 50 years, Sharon "Mammy." Father of Kimberly J. Mead (Robert), his twins, Philip and Paul Chalmers, and Vincent "Moe" Chalmers; brother of Marty Chalmers (the late Marilyn), Charlotte Vaughan (the late Tom), Maureen Klingensmith and the late Harry Chalmers (Pat). Pappy of Daniel Mead, Jr. (Karen), Amanda Mead (Jim), Tiffany Martin (Jeff), Jade Chalmers, Margo Chalmers, and the late Joey Chalmers; great-grandpappy of Mya Greschner, Callie Johnson, Madison and Ellianna Martin. Also many nieces, nephews, the late Johnny Kurtz, and close family friends.
Visitation is private. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, May 11, at 10 a.m., in the Church of the Resurrection (St. Teresa of Kolkata Parish). Interment with full military honors will follow at 1:30 p.m. in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
