The Reverend John Edward Suhoza
Peacefully, Fr. Ed, age 83, originally from Hays and formerly of Brookline, returned to his heavenly home. Preceded in death by his parents, John and Rebecca, and his brother, William. He leaves behind his loving brother, James, and other nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Fr. Ed was ordained in 1968 and was assigned to Holy Trinity in Moon Run, PA. He then enlisted in the U. S. Air Force and served as a chaplain for 22 years. After his return to the Pittsburgh Diocese, he served as Chaplain to the Franciscan Sisters of Whitehall. Fr. Ed will be truly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Family and friends will be received at the Church of the Resurrection (St. Teresa of Kolkata Parish), on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, from 10 a.m. until celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Interment at National Cemetery of the Alleghenies will be private.
