Nancy Jean (Kiss) DeAngelo

Nancy Jean DeAngelo, age 88, of Brookline, unexpectedly passed away on June 24, 2024.  Nancy is survived by her sons, Bob (Lisa) DeAngelo and Ron (Jan) DeAngelo.  Preceding her in death are her husband Gene DeAngelo, daughter Jean Trout and son Steve DeAngelo.  She is also survived by her son-in-law Gene Trout and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces and close friends.

Nancy was known as "Mrs. D" to many, and "Gram" to her family.  She was the glue that kept the family tightly knit, and the family "health consultant" we all relied on for the experience she gained from working at Mercy Hospital for over 40 years.  She was known as a hard worker who cared for all who came through the Emergency Room, and she demanded that everyone receive the best care possible.  Although her health had not been good lately, and she had survived much loss, she didn't feel sorry for herself and always said that she was better off than many others.  She could mix in with people of all ages and backgrounds.  She was a loving sister, a beloved mother and grandmother, and a loyal friend.  She was loved and cared for by many in the community.

Family and friends will be received at Frank F. DeBor Funeral Home, 1065 Brookline Blvd., 412-561-0380, on Sunday only (6/30), 1-5 p.m., where a Blessing Service will be held on Tuesday (7/2) at 10 a.m.  Interment will be in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
