Peacefully, after a long illness on Thursday, September 28, 2023, Margaret M. O'Connor, of Brookline, age 87, was called to her heavenly home. "Margie" enjoyed being a part of her weekly Wednesday card club. She loved to ski, ice skate, cook, garden, draw and go camping, and was fond of all Pittsburgh sports - especially Penguins hockey. She was a graduate of St. Justin’s High School, and retired from Lane Bryant and Kaufmann’s.
Margaret is survived by Rita O’Connor and Mary Wohlmacher; and MANY loving nieces, nephews and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Margaret (Egan) O'Connor. and her siblings, Thomas, Baby Mary, Stella, Helen, James and Francis. Margie was known as the FUN-Aunt; she will be dearly missed and will live on in our hearts.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, October 5, 2023, at 10:00 a.m., in the Church of the Resurrection (St. Teresa of Kolkata Parish), Brookline. Interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
Arrangements are entrusted to Frank F. DeBor Funeral Home; 412-561-0380; www.deborfuneralhome.com
