JACQUELINE M. BRACCO-VATES
Of Brookline, suddenly, on Saturday, April 29, 2023. Beloved wife of Scott A.; mother of Scott A., Jr., Jesse L. and Karly M. Vates. Sister of Phillip Maffeo and Francine Nichols. Grandmother of Niko and Scott A. Vates, III. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and four-legged grand-pups.
Jackie exceeded her role as "mom." She loved and lived for her children, and was known to be the neighborhood mom that ensured every child who entered her home was taken care of as her own. This past year, Jackie took on a new role as "Memaw" to her grandson Niko, who she cherished getting to spend every day with. She was graciously waiting for her second grandson to arrive in September.
Aside from Jackie's loving heart, she will always be remembered for her loud, fun and brutally honest personality. She loved hard, but supported her children harder. She cheered them on through every milestone and accomplishment.
While Jackie was taken too soon from our world, the impact she had in our lives will forever be imprinted on our hearts.
Family and friends will be received at the Frank F. DeBor Funeral Home on Saturday, May 6, from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m., where a service will be held beginning at 6:00 p.m.
