JEANNINE L. PETRUZZI

With a heavy heart we announce the passing of Jeannine Louise Petruzzi, 66, of Canonsburg Pennsylvania who passed away on Thanksgiving Day, November 27th 2025. A beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. She was born on July 19, 1959 in Hazelwood to a home full of love and three older brothers, Ernie, Mark and Ricky, who would steal all of her food. To her daughter Elyse, Jeannine was more than a mother, she was a confidante, a guide, and her best friend.

Those who knew Jeannine best, also knew her immense heart for animals, who were a constant source of joy and companionship throughout her life. Jeannine enjoyed a long and successful career as a hairdresser before reinventing herself, becoming a manager and a connoisseur of wines. She cherished her coworkers at Pennsylvania Fine Wines and Spirits, who became like a second family to her. 

Stubborn, determined, and fiercely independent, Jeannine took pride in the life she built for herself, her home, her Ford Bronco, her pets, and the sense of freedom she earned through her hard work. She delighted in life’s simple and beautiful pleasures, from savoring fine wines and good food to horseback riding, gardening, enjoying sunny days at the pool, and staying in touch with her extensive network of friends. Elyse fondly remembers how much her mother loved their annual trips to the Outer Banks, with the final trip in 2025 holding special significance as their last together before her passing.

Family and friends are invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Friday December 5th 2-4:00pm and 6-8:00pm. A service will also be celebrated on Friday at 7:30pm at the funeral home.
