GIOVANNI "JOHN" BAIANO

Of Brookline, PA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 29, 2020.  He was born in Bovino, Italy, on September 8, 1925, and he emigrated to the United States in 1968.  He was a beloved husband to the late Michelina Lanna Baiano.  Loving father to Tony (Ada) Baiano and Angela (George) Amrhein.  Grandfather to Anthony Vecchio, Maria (Josh) Kicinski, Isabel (Nate) Kumor, Jonathan (Deanna) Baiano, Christina Vecchio and Andrew (Renee) Baiano.  Great-grandfather to Brianna, Olivia, Daniella, Jacob, Carter, Cooper, Gia, Izabella, Gabriella, Jonathan Jr., Emalina, Dominic, Luca, Lyla and Nico.

John was the founder of Baiano Construction, Inc., in Pittsburgh, PA., and was a member of Resurrection Catholic Church.  He enjoyed spending time with his family and in his garden.  He was the hardest worker and most devoted patriarch of a proud first-generation American family.  He will be missed dearly.

Family and friends will be received at Frank F. DeBor Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 1065 Brookline Blvd., on Wednesday only, 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, at 11:30 a.m., in the Church of the Resurrection (St. Teresa of Kolkata Parish).
