FRANK "GAY" BERTA

Age 70, of Whitehall, formerly of Brookline, passed away on Thursday, January 7, 2021.  Son of the late Frank and Leona (Sotler) Berta and beloved husband of Roseanne (Silvagni) for 43 years.  Loving father to Matthew (Emily) Berta, Nicole (Larry) Fish, Phillip (Diane Reed) Berta and Frank (Andrea) Berta.  Doting "Pappy" of Logan Fish, Mia McGee, Vivienne Berta, Maura McGee, Lily Berta, Lilah Fish, Ruby Berta and Onyx Berta.  Brother of Karen (the late Ralph) Maselli and Mary Gail (Scott) Merlini.  Brother-in-law to Deborah Silvagni and Frank (LeeAnn) Silvagni.  Uncle of Jason Maselli, Jamie Maselli (Brian) Smith, Gina Silvagni, Dominic Silvagni, Danielle Merlina and Sarah Merlina.  Great-uncle of Sophia Smith.

Frank was a retired Pittsburgh Post-Gazette mailer of 41 years.  He was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan.  Frank tried to attend any sporting and school events of his grandchildren, nieces and nephews that he could.  We will always have so many wonderful memories of beach trips with family and friends.

Family and friends will be received at Frank F. DeBor Funeral Home on Sunday, 2-8 p.m.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, 10 a.m., in the St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Virgin Church (Our Lady of Hope Parish), 5200 Greenridge Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15236.
