Frank passed away peacefully, but unexpectedly, on June 18, 2024, of complications from diabetes, in the home he shared with his fiancée, Kim Miller. Frank is predeceased by his parents, Francis J. "Bud" McDevitt, Sr. and Catherine B. "Kay" McDevitt (nee Hack). Frank was a graduate of Bethel Park High School and attended Robert Morris University. He was an avid golfer, and enjoyed a varied career from computers to stand-up comedy to auto sales, and was named Employee of the Month at Home Depot in Bethel Park. Frank, like his father before him, was an accomplished storyteller with excellent timing, good humor, and the best punch lines. He was a good friend to his almost-brother-in-law, David Miller, and a wonderful pet dad to Lucy and Xavier.
Frank is survived by his four sisters: Marianne (Vic) Galfano, of Flagstaff, Arizona; Eileen (the late David) Guerry, of Roanoke, Virginia; Jackie (John) Smith, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; and, Kay Frances (Robert) Sanders, of Richmond, Virginia; also 10 nieces and nephews; 3 great-nephews and 4 great-nieces.
Family and friends will be received at Frank F. DeBor Funeral Home, 1065 Brookline Blvd., 412-561-0380, on Saturday (6/22), 12-2 p.m. and 3-5 p.m., where a service will begin at 5 p.m.
The family would appreciate condolences by sharing any story you may have about Frank.
