Dorothy (Dottie) M. Grant

Grant, Dorothy (Dottie) M. went to be with God on Tuesday, January 27, 2026.  Dottie was born in Pittsburgh on October 22, 1941 and Graduated from St. Paul Cathedral.  Her quick wit and sassy, bold personality endeared her to everyone she met.  Dottie's commitment to her community saw her lead initiatives to increase safety and structural change throughout Brookline.

Dottie retired from Koppers, Inc. and enjoyed her retirement by volunteering at Brookline Elementary, participating in the neighborhood block watch, joining the Woman's Guild and playing bingo with her friends. 

Dottie is preceded in death by her parents Charles and Mary (Glodek) Grant.  She is survived by all who loved her dearly including her sister Joanna Nahay, many nieces and nephews, friends and neighbors.

Services for Dottie will be held Saturday, February 7, 2026, at the Frank F. DeBor Funeral Home, Inc., 1065 Brookline Boulevard, Pittsburgh, PA  15226.  Visitation will be from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm,  a Blessing Service wil be held at 1:00 pm.  Graveside services will be at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery at a later date.
