DANIEL G. KHALIL
Of McCandless Township (formerly of Carrick), peacefully, on Monday, October 4, 2021. Beloved husband of Phyllis K. (Racioppi). Father of the late Daniel G., Jr.; brother of Josephine (the late Robert) Bryan, Virginia (Kenneth) Hewitt and the late Camille Grant, Agnes Khalil, Dolores Neuman, Harry Khalil and Joseph Khalil; loving uncle of many nieces and nephews. Daniel served in the U. S. Marine Corps from 1956 to 1958. He attended West Liberty State College of West Virginia and was a proud caseworker for the PA Department of Public Welfare for over 29 years. Dan was a member of the Society of St. Ignatius, and made a joyful noise unto the Lord for 60+ years in the St. George Liturgical Choir.
Family and friends will be received at Frank F. DeBor Funeral Home on Wednesday, 6-8 p.m., and Thursday, 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Divine Liturgy on Friday, at 11 a.m., in St. George Antiochian Orthodox Cathedral (Oakland), 3400 Dawson Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15213. There will be an additional visitation one hour prior to the service. Trisagion prayers on Thursday evening at 7 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. George Antiochian Orthodox Cathedral.
