S. BYRNE DOYLE

Of Baldwin Township, age 80, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on June 4, 2021.  Son of the late Richard and Minnette Doyle of Brookline; loving husband of Barbara (Sill) for 55 years; father of S. Byrne, Jr. (Jennifer), Brian (Kristen), Kathleen and Rini Davis (John); grandfather to 12 adored grandchildren; brother of Judy Cleary (the late Lefty), the late Richard (Nancy) and Michele Carney (Ray); also survived by many nieces and nephews.  Byrne and Barb met at South Hills High School and graduated from there in 1959.  Byrne attended the University of Louisville and Duquesne University before becoming a proud member of Steamfitters Local #449 and was also an executive for multiple construction and mechanical contracting companies while always supporting his union.  He maintained an incredible wit and sense of humor, was proud of his Irish heritage, a devout Catholic and member of St. Winifred Catholic Parish, an avid Notre Dame and Pittsburgh sports fan, and enjoyed traveling extensively with his wife.  His family will truly miss him.

A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Winifred Catholic Church on Friday, June 18, at 10 a.m.  Interment at Jefferson Memorial Park immediately following service.
