Barbara E. ("Libby") Nee

BARBARA E. "LIBBY" NEE, of Brookline (formerly of the Northside and Oakland), passed away peacefully on Monday, March 4, 2024.  Beloved mother of Coleman (Dana) Flaherty; grandmother of Julia, Connor and William; and great-grandmother of Phoebe.  Barbara was preceded in death by her brothers, Anthony and Thomas, and her sister, Nora.  She was well loved by her nieces and nephews, Barbara, Mary, Virginia (Jim), John (Jill) and Mark.  She also has many great-nieces and great-nephews who adored her.

Barbara was a devout Irish Catholic who devoted her life to the Lord.  She worked as a bookkeeper at NCAM.  She then opened an in-home daycare where she provided care to many local children.  As a young woman she loved taking trips to Wildwood, New Jersey.  She loved singing, sewing, baking, gardening and everything Irish.  She loved spending time with her son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren.

Family and friends will be received at Frank F. DeBor Funeral Home, 1065 Brookline Boulevard, 412-561-0380, on Friday only, 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, at 10 a.m., in the Church of the Resurrection (St. Teresa of Kolkata Parish).
