McCarthy, Ann (Nancy), age 92 of Brookline passed away peacefully on December 31, 2025. Born in Carraroe, County Galway, Ireland. Ann was one of 11 children born to the late Paraic and Mary Flaherty. Ann came to the US and soon met the love of her life, her husband of 42 years, the late William McCarthy. Together they raised their children with a strong catholic upbringing and a love of their Irish heritage. Ann is survived by her children, William, Timothy (Kathy), Daniel (Amy), Marty, Mary Barrett (the late Patrick) and Josephine Regan (Bartley). Grandchildren Caitlin (Chad) Talotta, Maura (Joey) Cole, Shane (Tyler), Brady, Michael (Clarissa), Ryan McCarthy, Tarah Barrett, Breege McCormack and John Regan. Great grandchildren Maddy, Ellis and Nora Talotta, Callum and Bennett McCarthy. Ann is predeceased by 7 of her siblings and survived by her sisters, Kate of Pittsburgh, Nora and Barbra both of Waterford, Ireland.
Family and friends will be received at Frank F. DeBor Funeral Home, 1065 Brookline Boulevard, 412-561-0380, on Sunday, January 4, 2026 only, 1:00-5:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, January 5, 2026, at 12:00 p.m., in the Church of the Resurrection.
