Ann Tillie (Tkach) Hynes

Born February 18, 1933, Ann passed away peacefully on July 1, 2021, at the age of 88, surrounded by and holding hands with her children.  She was the beloved wife of John T. Hynes, and will be greatly missed by her children, Mary Ann (John Fisch), Patricia Hynes, JoAnne Brown (Don), Carole Bovenizer (Craig) and Michael Hynes.  She is also survived by honorary child number six, her niece, Susie Tkach-Boroch.  She was the proud grandmother of four adoring grandchildren, Matthew, Michael and Aiden Fisch and Audrey Hynes.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Anna Tkach.  Ann loved reading and gardening, and was a constant help to so many family members.  She survived colon cancer, but lost a long battle with Parkinson's.

Family and friends will be received at Frank F. DeBor Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 6, from 4 to 8 p.m.  A Blessing Service to celebrate her life will be held at 7 p.m. that evening.  Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Jubilee Soup Kitchen or Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh.
