Angela (Phillips) Barker

Angela “Angie” (Phillips, Zugates) Barker passed away peacefully with her family by her side after a hard-fought battle with cancer on November 16, 2024. 

Angie is survived by her loving husband of 18 years, Joe Barker.   She is preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, Toby Zugates.   She is also survived by her children: Nicole (Luke) Demsey and Jessica (Geoffrey) Dobson, and her nine grandchildren.  Angie is preceded in death by her father James (Gail) Phillips and survived by her mother Jacqueline (Bruce) Burleson. Angie is survived by five siblings, Greg Phillips, Kathleen (Harry) Patterson, Beth (Mike) Heishman, Amy Burleson and David (Marsha) Burleson.  Angie also has many notable cousins who hold her dear.   She is also survived in her death by Rocky and Saddie, her loyal canine companions.

Angie,

“May the road rise to meet you, May the wind be always at your back.  May the sun shine warm upon your face, The rains fall soft upon your fields.  And until we meet again, May God hold you in the palm of his hand.”

Family and friends will be received at Frank F. DeBor Funeral Home on Tuesday, 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, at 11 a.m., in the Church of the Resurrection (Brookline).
