Ralph A. Jelic

Of Mt. Lebanon, formerly of Brookline, on Monday, May 28, 2018.  Beloved husband of Cynthia (Agnew); father of Jeffrey S. (Kelly) Jelic, Christopher J. Jelic, and Jane (Mike) Minnick; grandfather of Grant, Garret and Gregory Minnick, Lauren and Jason Jelic.  Visitation with the family and a Celebration of Life service will take place at a later date.  Ralph was a distinguished player and coach for the University of Pittsburgh football program, and was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in 1956.  His coaching career included stints at Lehigh University, Boston University and Harvard.  When his coaching career ended, he scouted for the Oakland Raiders, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Kansas City Chiefs.  Later, he was employed by Dravo Corporation and eventually formed his own firm, R. A. Jelic Company.  Arrangements are under the direction of Frank F. DeBor Funeral Home, Inc.
