Nicholas grew up in Pittsburgh's Northside before settling with his family in Brookline, where he also had his own 3-D picture company. Nick was an avid golfer and inventor. The accomplishment he was most proud of was his family, as he could always be boasting how "rich" he was because of what he considered the privilege of being their husband, father, grandfather, Papou. Nick was a member of Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church. His big Greek family and his Greek heritage were extreme sources of pride for him.
