BARBARA Z. GUGLIELMON

Of Brookline, formerly of Shadyside, on Tuesday, October 30, 2018.  Wife of the late Silvio; beloved mother of Peter (the late Linda) and Robert (Susan) Guglielmon; grandmother of Michael A., James A. (Cheri), Cara, Jonathan and Christina Guglielmon.

Family and friends will be received at Frank F. DeBor Funeral Home on Friday, November 2, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 3, at 9:30 a.m. in the St. Pius X Church, Brookline. 

Born in Slovenia, Mrs. Guglielmon escaped a World War II Italian concentration camp, and eventually married one of her Italian guards.  She immigrated to the U.S. with her three-year-old son, worked hard all her life, and was devoted to her children and grandchildren.  Despite all the hardships she faced, her faith never wavered and she blessed many.
