Age 84, of Pittsburgh (Brookline), PA, on Saturday, August 11, 2018. Beloved wife of the late Michael P. Coyne; devoted mother of 10 children: Mary Ellen Pritchard (Todd), Anne Romano (Richard), Michael Coyne (Lori), Geralyn Marchilena (Anthony), Brigid Maurer (John), Regina Donley (Edward), Kathleen Burns (Daniel), Sheila Cain (Walter), Joseph Coyne and Margaret Stuart (Joshua); cherished grandmother to 25 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Anna always knew what was important in life, and she passed that insight along not only to her children, but everyone she touched. Anna nurtured a strong love of Mary and faith in Jesus, and practiced her religion with great fervor and commitment. She was first and foremost a loving and attentive wife, a role in which she took great pride and joy. In her final days, she thought about nothing more than the imminent comfort of being with her beloved Mickey again. Surrounded by her children, those she spent a lifetime shepherding into the kingdom of God, she welcomed the passage to Heaven with open arms. Throughout her life, she clothed herself in strength and dignity and taught wisdom and kindness. She looked to her household and at the end her children praised her and called her blessed; many are the women of proven worth, but she has excelled them all.
Friends and family will be received at Frank F. DeBor Funeral Home on Sunday, August 12, from 2 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10 a.m. in the Church of the Resurrection (Brookline).
