After Care

after care

At DeBor Funeral Home we firmly believe that our service begins long before and continues well after the funeral itself is over. For that reason we have created a personal Aftercare program which provides one–on–one support for each family we serve. Our After Care coordinator is Mrs. Lulu Orr, a registered nurse who specializes in bereavement and issues that affect grieving persons.

Within two weeks after the services for a deceased family member, Mrs. Orr contacts each family and arranges a personal visit to meet and discuss what further needs a family may have. From this visit recommendations can be made for support services or additional counseling that may be of help.

Memorial Rose Program

memorial rose program

The first anniversary of a loved one’s death is for many people the most difficult time. For this reason each family we serve receives a simple yellow rose on this day. It is our way of letting you know that we care, we are thinking of you, and our service continues.

Holiday Luminaria Vigil

holiday luminaria vigil

Each year on Christmas Eve a single luminaria will burn throughout the night on a holiday display on our front lawn as a tribute to each family that we have served in the past year. Many families will take a moment of their evening to pass by the funeral home and pay silent tribute to their loved one.
