This woman was truly one of a kind. She was a grandma to me from day one. It didn't matter that by blood she was my great aunt. She was part of a package deal with my actual grandma, Virginia, her baby sister. They lived together & did everything together, so if I got one, I was lucky enough to get both. We lost my grandma almost 7 years ago & Tinny became the only grandparent I had left. I grew up living in a house 2 doors away from theirs, and I always made my presence known. I was at their house every day, sometimes all day, up until a few years ago. Once I had Dominic, he was lucky enough to be there every day while I worked. He learned the same thing that I learned. Sometimes, people in your life are way more special than the title they have. Tinny loved every one of us as her own. Not nieces & nephews, but as children, grandchildren, & great-grandchildren. She taught me so much in my 38 years. We loved her as much as she loved us & we are so lucky to have had her and her love in our lives!
