Of Brookline, age 49, suddently on Wednesday, January 8, 2014.  Cherished daughter of Edward and Dorothy Schlegel; deeply loved sister to Roche, Renee (Gregg), Rhea Jamesine, Rebecca (Raymond) and Rhett; proud aunt of Carly, Tessa, Gwendolyn, Maddi, Hanna and Lexi.  Rita's friends will miss her beautiful smile and generous spirit.  She once wrote "I love life and I hope I leave the world a little bit kinder."  Memorial Mass celebrating Rita's life will be announced at a later date.
