RAYMOND M. PIAGGESI (SR.)

Of Brookline, age 90, on Thursday, August 3, 2017.  Beloved husband of the late Mary A.; loving father of Raymond M., Jr. (Patti), Gloria (Edward) Norkus, Andrew C. (Cecelia) and John A. (Lori) Piaggesi; dear "Pop Pop" of Elizabeth (Andrew) Rieland, Jennifer (Jeffrey) Cadwallader, Ryan (Cara) Piaggesi, Michelle (Jason) Lander, Breana and Natalie Piaggesi; also 11 great-grandchildren.  Brother of the late Theresa Pasquinelli, Dominic Piaggesi, Norma Pasquinelli-Utzig, Angelina Serio and Mary Lou DiSimo.

Ray served honorably in the Army as a Military Policeman in the late 1940s.  He grew up working for the Roma Bottling Works in downtown Pittsburgh, which his father co-founded in 1908.  The company, which sold Skipper pop, operated until 1975.  After its closing, Ray continued to work in the beverage industry for the remainder of his career.  Ray fully enjoyed his life spent with his beloved wife, family and friends.  He will be greatly missed.

Friends and family will be received at the Frank F. DeBor Funeral Home on Sunday, August 6, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, at 10 a.m., in the Church of the Resurrection (Brookline).

Memorial contributions may be made to Three Rivers Hospice, 125 North Franklin Drive, Suite 3, Washington, PA  15301.
