Peacefully, at home, on Monday, October 2, Mary Jo, 84, of Brookline reunited with her husband, Raymond, in heaven. Beloved mother of Greg (Holly Drylie). Loving grandmother of Matthew, Daniel (fiancée Amanda Knobeloch) and Matt. Sister of Angeline (Robert) Patterson of Loveland, OH, and Elizabeth Cornett of Fort Collins, CO. Preceded in death by her stepson, Raymond S., and brother, Anthony Puleo, of Kuntz, TX. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Jo worked as a color artist for Strem Studios in the 1960s and 70s, then for more than 10 years at Kaufmann’s, downtown. A member of Our Lady of Loreto parish in Brookline for more than 50 years, she also volunteered at Our Lady of Loreto School as a lunch mother. Jo was a person of deep and strong faith. She loved her family, friends and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Friends and family will be received at Frank F. DeBor Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 4, and Thursday, October 5, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Loreto on Friday, October 6, at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Michael’s Cemetery.
