EDMUND G. GIEL

Age 96, earned his eternal reward on Saturday, July 30, 2016, following an extraordinary life of faith, love and service.  

Beloved husband of 72 years of Mildred M.; loving son of the late Edmund and Margaret Giel; adored father of Edmund G. (Cynthia) Giel, Jr., Patricia A. (Frank) DiFiore, Thomas P. (Collene) Giel, Donald L. (Clare) Giel, and Janice M. Giel; cherished grandfather of 12; great-grandfather of 7; brother of William P. (the late Jean) Giel and the late Marie (LaRue) Wilson; brother-in-law of Jean Hall, Bonita Bailey and the late Betty and Bernie Seneway, Grace and George Cupples, James Egler, John Hall and Thomas Bailey.

Ed lived life fully, without complaint, and with tremendous compassion for family, friends and strangers alike.  

Friends will be received at Frank F. DeBor Funeral Home, Inc., 1065 Brookline Boulevard, 412-561-0380, on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m., and Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Church of the Resurrection.
