Born April 27, 1926, of Mt. Lebanon, passed away Friday, September 4, 2015.  Husband of the late Lois for over 48 years; beloved father of Charlene (Dave) Bowling, Cathlene (Joe) Glozzer and Timothy O'Malley; grandfather of Jessamyn Bowling, Chaz Swingle and Timothy O'Malley, Jr.

Charlie was a retired letter carrier with the U. S. Postal Service for over 38 years.  He served in World War II, with the 63rd Infantry Division in Europe.  He was a life member of VFW Post 6675 in the South Side, and a member of the American Legion Post 490 in Castle Shannon.  He was also a 60+ year member of the National Association of Letter Carriers Branch 84, and a life member of N.A.R.F.E. Chapter 114, Pittsburgh, PA.  Friends will be received at Frank F. DeBor Funeral Home, 1065 Brookline Blvd., 412-561-0380, on Friday only from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., where a service will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m., with full military honors.  Memorial contributions may be made to Family Hospice, 50 Moffett Street, Pittsburgh, PA  15243.
